For a completely different African safari adventure, head for the Mahale Mountains next to the azure waters of Lake Tanganyika in western Tanzania. With sandy beaches bordering jungle-covered peaks, this is a unique destination, accessible only by boat, and home to some of the last wild chimpanzee populations in Africa.
Mahale Mountains is home to some of Africa’s last remaining 800 wild chimpanzees. Tracking the chimps of Mahale is a magical experience.
The slopes of the Moutnains are also populated with colobus, red-tailed and blue monkeys and a huge array of forest birds.
The Mahale is also a realxing destation, take time to swim in the clear waters of the world’s longest, second-deepest and least-polluted freshwater lake.
