Safari Packing List

The list given below is a basic indication of what you should pack for your Safari holiday. If you wish to discuss what clothing, footwear and medications you should take with you in more detail, just call any one of our Africa Specialists who will be delighted to talk you through the essentials. Depending on where your destination is, remember that some parts of Africa are predominantly Muslim, so evening attire should be comfortable but sober and not too revealing.

Soft bags (that are lockable) are preferable to rectangular suitcases as the weight of luggage that can be carried on small aircraft is usually limited to 25-53 pounds, depending on the size of the plane, so a fabric bag will save a few pounds compared to a rigid case or trunk.
