14 Day Highlights of Namibia

This 14 day self drive of Namibia, explores the highlights of the Northern Circuit. Start in Windhoek for your first night before heading to Sossusvlei and Sesriem where you will see the largest dunes in the world. Continue your journey north to Swakopmund for an exclusive half day dolphin cruise of Walvis Bay Lagoon. Travel onto North Damaraland for a full day rhino trek in the magnificent Grootberg Plateau community conservancy. You will then travel onto Etosha National Park to experience some fantastic game driving in both the eastern and western side to give you a variety of wildlife and scenery. The last two nights are spent at Okonjima Lodge north of Waterberg Plateau, where you can experience the AfriCat cheetah and leopard conservation programme.

Day 1
Met on arrival at Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako Airport by a representative who will hand over your travel documents, brief you on your routing and assist with any queries you may have.
Windhoek: Overnight at Elegant Guest House - Bed and Breakfast
Day 2
Drive south to Sesriem where you can visit Seriem Canyon, the magnificent dunes of Sossusvlei or the Namib Nauklauft Park.
Sesriem: Overnight at Hoodia Desert Lodge – Half Board
Day 3

Day 4
Continue your drive to Walvis Bay where you can stop to see the famous lagoon, home to many bird species including greater flamingos. After, enjoy a pleasent drive onto Swakopmund for adventure activities such as sand boarding, tandem parachuting, fishing and quad biking.

Day 5
Today you will depart from the Walvis Bay Yacht Club to enjoy a Catamaran Tour of this amazing Bay. Enjoy the diversity of bird species as well as the occasional turtle and whale are just some of the attractions along this tour.
Swakopmund: Overnight at Cornerstone Guest House - Bed and Breakfast
Day 6
Drive to the mountainous region of Damaraland and maybe make an excursion to the Twyfelfontein rock etchings.
Damaraland: Overnight at Camp Kipwe – Half Board
Day 7
A short journey today to one of the most scenic areas in Damaraland – Grootberg. The 12 000 hectare exclusive use area that the lodge encompasses boasts a myriad of Damaraland flora and fauna, with Desert elephant, Black rhino and even lion occasionally ghosting an appearance.

Day 9
Drive to the world famous Etosha National Park where you can enjoy a range of activities to see the abundance of wildlife.
Southern Etosha: Okaukuejo Rest Camp – Half Board
Day 10
Today’s drive is a whole day’s game drive and I’d advise stopping at Halali for lunch and a dip in the pool, before continuing further east.
Eastern Etosha: Mushara Outpost – Half Board
Day 11

Day 12
Your journey back to Windhoek starts today when you make your way to Otkiwarongo, hoem to the Africat foundation which conserves the big cat species in Namibia.
Otjiwarongo: Okonjima Main Camp – Half Board
Day 13
The unique and inclusive activities here include lion viewing, nature walks, cheetah & leopard tracking, and bushman walks
Otjiwarongo: Okonjima Main Camp – Full Board and 1 activity
Day 14
Return to Windhoek today, a drive of approximately 3 hours, in time to connect with your onward flight
