Namibia is a large country in the south west of Africa that became independent from South Africa in 1990. It has an incredibly diverse landscape, from the expansive Namib Desert, with its giant sand dunes, to the little-unexplored coastal regions and the Great Etosha Pan, full of wildlife, nature and game parks.

The country has plenty to offer for a holiday, and a visit can also be combined with a trip to neighbouring South Africa or Botswana.
