IBO Island Lodge

From: €3,069

Ibo Island lodge has a unique setting on one of Africa’s most beautiful and unspoiled islands. Part of the Quirimbas Archipelago in the north of Mozambique, the whole area has been nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the hotel occupies borders the ocean, where traditional wooden dhows sail past at high tide. The lodges mansions are all more than 100 years old, with high ceilings and full of antique features. Guestrooms feature teak and mahogany furniture, and there is a rooftop restaurant and bar where you can watch the magnificent sunsets from, plus wide oceanfront verandahs and two pools in the tropical gardens. This beautiful and remote location is a paradise for birdwatchers, and you can also often spot humpback whales between August and November.
