Built in 2005, Satao Rock Camp is located on the 98,000 acre Taita ranch on the border of Tsavo East National Park. The purpose built tents are perched 80 feet above ground level overlooking a waterhole, allowing for spectacular views over the Tsavo West National Park and the animals that come to drink. Day 1
Drive from Mombasa to Tsavo West National Park, to arrive at Satao Rock Camp for lunch. Late afternoon game drive, returning to camp for dinner and overnight
Day 2
Early morning game drive, returning to Satao Rock Camp for a late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure to walk in the lodge grounds or to observe wildlife. After lunch there will be an afternoon game drive, returning for dinner and overnight
Day 3
After breakfast, drive back to Mombasa, arriving early afternoon

  • The property is best accessed by road from Nairobi or Mombasa
