Mara Explorer is a five star; exclusive tented camp which lies in a great spot in the Maasai Mara National Park, enjoying prime views of the spectacular wildebeest migration between July and September. During the remainder of the year, herds of watering elephant, giraffe and other animals can often be seen from your private veranda. There are 10 luxurious and well-spaced tents, each with its own private river frontage and views over the Talek’s wildlife-rich southern banks. Each tent is furnished with fine hand-carved mahogany furniture, antique chests and historic prints, and equipped with a luxurious en suite bathroom with twin basins and all modern amenities. The tents have been specially designed to open up to the sky and, on a deck on one side, a Victorian claws-foot bathtub offers secluded open-air bathing – and a unique new perspective of the African bush.

Day 1
Depart London Heathrow for your flight to Nairobi International Airport, where you will be met upon arrival for your transfer to Wilson Airport and your flight onto the Masai Mara. On arrival you will be transferred to Mara Explorer, approximately 10 minutes drive. Evening game drive for a first view of the wildlife species for which the Maasai Mara National Park is famous
Day 2
A full day in the Maasai Mara National Park with morning game drive followed by lunch at Mara Explorer. The afternoon is to enjoy at your leisure, or visit Mara Intrepids to relax around the swimming pool. Evening game drive and back to the camp for gourmet dinner and overnight
Day 3
An early morning game drive followed by breakfast and then transfer to the airstrip for your Air Kenya flight back to Nairobi for your overnight stay at Southern Sun Mayfair.
Day 4
Depart for your flight to Mauritius, upon arrival you will be transferred to Shanti Maurice for the next 6 nights.
