Day 1
Depart from Nairobi and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in the late afternoon. You will take an evening game drive to see the huge numbers of flamingo which are concentrated along the lake shore. In addition to the birdlife for which Nakuru is so well known there are many different wildlife species in the park including lion, leopard, Black rhino, White rhino, buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, zebra, impala and waterbuck
Day 2
Full day in Lake Nakuru National Park
Day 3
An early morning game drive before breakfast to try to find leopard which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru Park and return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you will take a further drive to seek out the 2 species of rhino found in the park, returning before lunch. Tansfer by road back to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon

Access and Distance

  • The lodge best accessed via road from Nairobi (100 miles). The travelling time is 2 hours from central hotels or 2½ hours from the airports. The closest commercial airstrip is in the Rift Valley 1 hour away providing flights to and from the Mara or via Nairobi for other destinations

Accommodation

  • 67 Rooms all en-suite with mosquito nets
  • Standard rooms have a double or twin beds with views of the lake
  • Superior rooms offer the same views but are slightly larger to cater for families with an expanded veranda
