Savute Under Canvas

Features just six en suite safari tents carefully positioned in exclusive semi-permanent campsites in Savute, a corner of the Chobe National Park. The landscape of Savute is strikingly different from the lush Chobe riverfront, with an almost desert–like feeling. The guest areas comprise comfortable tents for dining, meeting for a pre-dinner drink and come complete with private butler service, delicious home-baked meals, and traditional bush dinners served under the stars. The safari is hosted by expert Guides and uses only private campsites. During the rainy season, Savute is witness to the annual zebra migration, which peaks in January and February when the zebra and wildebeest congregate in vast numbers to graze on the sweeter grasses brought on by the rains. It is not uncommon to also catch sight of leopard, cheetah and African wild dog. Savute also supports the greatest concentration of the king of all beasts – the lion.
